Bugaku

A general term for dances performed to accompany Gagaku. Since the Nara period, it has been performed at events and pujas at the imperial court, shrines and temples. Originating in China, the Korean Peninsula, and Southeast Asia, many of the plays are based on ancient events and legends handed down in those regions.
The work is made in half the size of the real thing.
