"Ami" is a French word meaning "friend". I create stuffed animals, puppets, dolls etc. with the hope that they will become precious friends in your hearts.

Born and lives in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art Junior College (Display Design). After working for a display design company and a handicraft material store, began making stuffed animals and puppets. 1999 Exhibited for the first time at a craft event. 1999~2015 Order-made "Frog Pair Stuffed Animal" and "Frog Ring Pillow" for weddings at the florist shop "les Deux" .(Jiyugaoka, Tokyo) 107 sets of frog pair and 213 ring pillows were delivered. 2003~ Began participating in group exhibitions planned by the gallery. 2010~ Began selling puppet works at "Puppet House" (Iidabashi, Tokyo), a specialty store for puppets. 2010.6~2013.10 Serialized “More! Fan Handmade by ami” in the column page of Puzzle Magazine "Arrow & Skeleton Pal".(published every other month) (20 times in total) 2011 A pig and a frog puppet are used in You Kikkawa's music video. 2013, 2014, 2018 Puppets and stuffed animals are used in storytelling and storytelling concert. 2016 Solo Exhibition "Small Door in My Heart" at Gallery Kadokko(Nishiogikubo, Tokyo) 2020 Solo exhibition "Cache-Cache" at Jenus Creation(Mitaka, Tokyo) 2022 Public Exhibition "The Creation at JANUS 2022" Jury Prize
